Professor Wall and the Secession Minstrel discuss the Illinois Separation referendums which will be held county-wide in 11 counties and in local townships in a 12th county on November 3, 2026. Though there appears to be no way the political classes settled in Springfield and DC will take the referendums seriously insofar as acting on the people’s wishes are concerned, what will the referendums lay the groundwork for as the DC Empire and the Illinois state government begin to collapse?
